I just wanted to let you know that I have updated the Important Documents for Social Studies link. It is the same link, but is more organized. Instead of documents just randomly added, I have added folders for each unit. I hope this is more organized for everyone. If you have any questions about the units, don't hesitate to ask. Social Studies 9/2-9/5
Good Morning!
I hope everyone has had a fantastic week so far. I know we've had a great week in Social Studies. Students should have brought home an assignment where they are asking you questions on a historical event you have witnessed. Next week, we will use those answers to write a report on a chosen historical event. Also, we will be learning about the Five Themes of Geography. Social Studies 8/25-8/29
Good Afternoon!
Next week, we will be focusing on facts and opinions, and primary and secondary sources. Students will have an assessment over facts and opinions on Tuesday. At the beginning of the week, I will give them information on their primary source project. Students will have to pick an event and interview someone about it. It can be their parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles or even siblings. The students will write a report using their primary source (the interview). This will be done on Friday and the following Monday. As always, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!

First Week and 8/18-8/22
Good Afternoon!
I hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend! The first week has been a major success and I can't wait for our second week to start. For next week, the students will be working on writing introductory and concluding paragraphs and citing sources. On Friday, students will be taking an assessment over citation. Notes for both introductory and concluding paragraphs and citation can be found in the Important Documents page.
